Apple iPad 4 and iPad Mini-Specs, Price

Apple  foray into the smaller-tablet segment with their 7.9 inch "iPad mini". Apple also announced a fourth-generation full-sized iPad with improvements in graphics and processing speeds. All this happen just two days before Microsoft is due to show off its own "Surface" tablet.

iPad Mini

iPad Mini  has a 7.9-inch screen, is one-third smaller than than its 10-inch cousin and weighs less than a pound. It's also 23% thinner than the full-sized iPad.It little bigger and costly than Amazon's Kindle Fire HD and Google's  Nexus 7 both come with 7inch screens and $199 price tags. the iPad mini has versions that connect with 3G and 4G cellular networks via the Verizon, AT&T or Sprint networks.

The iPad Mini will start shipping Nov. 2 (for the Wi-Fi only version), and will cost $329 and up.You can pre-order starting Friday, along with the fourth-generation iPad.Larger 32 GB and 64 GB versions will cost $429 and $529, respectively.
