Asus Fonepad

Asus Fonepad joins the fray of 7-inch Phone/tablet called Fonepad. Asus launched Fonepad in India unveiling the tablet at the MWC earlier in the year.Fonepad runs on the Android Jelly Bean 4.1 version of Google’s operating system. The 7-inch Fonepad is a sleek looking tab, easy & light in the hand, screen fits snugly in the bezel, which is wide but comfortable to hold.

It comes with 7-inch IPS display screen, SIM card slot, meaning you can make calls using the tablet. In addition to it also support internet over GPRS/EDGE and 3G.The display is multiple touch having 1280x800 pixels density. It has 1.2 GHZ processor,RAM of 1 GB, 8 GB and 16 GB internal memory. However, MicroSD card slot Fonepad can have expandable memory up to 32 GB.

Asus Fonepad is priced at Rs 15,999. All in all Asus Fonepad is definitely a good tablet in the 7-inch space. However, based on the price, the Asus's main competitor; Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 comes with almost the same features at a lower price of around Rs 15,000. Only drawback is its single core processor which puts competor's tablet loaded with dual-core processor on top edge.
