OLPC XO Kids Tablet at $149

The OLPC (One Laptop Per Child) XO Tablet is an Android tablet primarily designed for Kids. It has a semi-rugged removable case, and a custom suite of software with a focus on educational apps and games. OLPC’s promotional video for the tablet declares that it’s the “first and only tablet specifically created to help kids explore their dreams and spark their imagination.” You can also run normal Android apps on the XO Tablet, but there are parental controls which let you restrict the apps your kids are using.

The XO Tablet comes in at 7-inches, while the entire device measures in at 4.68 x 0.37 x 7.75-inches with a display resolution of 1024 x 600. The XO Tablet is powered by a dual-core 1.64GHz processor and has 8GB of internal storage with WiFi connectivity. The tablet is running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and features a handful of educational related software items.

When the XO Tablet launched in the US in July it was available exclusively at Walmart. Now you can order one from Amazon or Target as well.Most importantly XO tablet will cost you $149 only.
