Samsung Galaxy Note 800 launched in India

Samsung Electronics Friday launched a new tablet, Galaxy Note 800, in the Indian market.In UK and US this same tablet is known by the name Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1.The pre-booking for the 10-inch tablet started on the Samsung eStore last week.

Samsung Galaxy Note 800 is priced at Rs 39, 990. Samsung has launched it to compete with Apple's iPad. This tablet comes with a stylus Pen, which is the USP of this phablet. It works brilliantly on the touchscreen and users can type, draw and play using it.



On the specs side, this tablet packs in a 10.1-inch WXGA (1280 x 800 pixel) TFT display, new 1.4GHz quad-core Exnyos processor, 2GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal flash storage, and one can expand the memory via microSD cards of up to 32GB and runs on Android 4.0(Ice Cream Sandwich). It has 5MP Auto Focus rear Camera with LED Flash and 1.9MP front camera.

The connectivity features include, 3G (HSPA+ 21Mbps), Bluetooth v 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4 & 5 GHz) and 7,000mAh battery.

It has S Pen input and apps such as S Note, S Planner, Adobe Photoshop Touch. It also includes unique features such as Smart Stay, Pop Up Play, AllShare Play and AllShare Group Cast that were present in the Galaxy S3. The device also comes pre-loaded with Adobe Photoshop Touch, and a new app My Education that has been developed to help school students to take advantage of the digital environment that they are constantly experiencing.

It also offers more than almost 900 education text books which would be the largest collection of educational e-books in India.
