BlackBerry, has recently confirmed that a new tablet powered by BlackBerry 10. During the BlackBerry 10 launch event, CEO Thorsten Heins conceded that the market is tough. "The tablet business is rather difficult," he stressed. He added the firm is only interested in investing areas it believes could be profitable.That said, he isn't ruling out future possibilities for a tablet. "We want to provide a value proposition that is not just hardware, but software, too. What we’ll be doing in the tablet space is looking for specific services on top of the tablet — financial, healthcare verticals. We are still exploring various use cases for it." He confirmed that BlackBerry is preparing a BlackBerry 10 update for the PlayBook, but time frame was not mentioned.
During April 2011, BlackBerry launched the PlayBook, but it ultimately failed to make an impact in the market.
After heavily discounting the product, it shipped a paltry 255,000 units during 2012's third quarter.
As per CNET "The first BlackBerry 10 L-Series all-touchscreen phone will feature a 4.2-inch display with a high-definition resolution of 1280 by 768, 2 gigabytes of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and an 1,800 mAh battery, according to the report.The phone will also have a front-facing 2 megapixel camera with 2X digital zoom and 720p video recording,
while the back has an 8 megapixel shooter with LED flash, auto focus, 5X digital zoom and the ability to shoot video in 1080p.
BB 10 recognizes the execution of a whole new customer interface, doing away with the acquainted BlackBerry program we’re all used to in favor of something that appears like companies Android operating program and iOS, although with its own improvements.
BlackBerry 10 has combined homescreens, icons, app details and a specific mailbox into one smooth customer interface, providing up an easy-to-navigate consumer encounter.
