Fly Mobiles has announced its first Android low-cost tablet - Fly Vision , for the Indian market.
The new tab is priced at Rs. 7,299 and will rock Google’s Froyo Operating System. The tablet will also be sporting a 600MHz processing chip, which doesn’t make it the fastest on the block, but then again you can’t hope for much at these prices. The Vision will be competing with the Beetel Magiq and of course our very own, home grown Aakash tablet.
The 7 inch Fly Vision has a TFT LCD touchscreen with a resolution: of 800x480 pixels. It runs on Android 2.2 Froyo OS and features a 600 MHz Rockchip 2818 chipset processor and 256 MB of RAM. It uses a 4000 mAh battery that, according to the company, provides 6 hours of continues operation. This Android tablet also houses an external memory slot which can accommodate a 16 GB micro SD card. There is a 1.3 megapixel camera as well.
For connectivity, the tablet will offer support for Bluetooth, USB 2.0, WiFi, 3G and standard 3.5mm audiojack. The tablet will also come pre-installed with applications like Microsoft Office Suite and Google applications like Google Talk, Gmail, Google Maps and YouTube. There's also a SIM card slot to make voice calls.
