Asus announces three new Tablets at MWC

Today in Barcelona, at the annual Mobile World Congress trade show, Asus debuted an all-in-one answer to those questions — its PadFone. The 4.3-inch Android 4.0 smartphone comes with a tablet dock accessory that can transform the phone into a full-on tablet.
The new Asus Transformer Pad line has three models:

  • The Transfomer Pad Prime

  • Transformer Pad Infinity series and

  • Transformer Pad 300 series.


Asus didn't list all the specifications for all the
devices, but did reveal some hardware details.
Transformer Pad 300 series

•Display: 10.1 inch WXGA, LED, 178 degree viewing angle, IPS technology
•CPU: Nvidia Tegra 3 quad core
•Memory: 1 GB RAM, 16 GB ROM, 8 GB of free lifetime ASUS Webstorage, microSD card slot
•Connectivity: WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, micro HDMI,
•Camera: 8MP, autofocus, 1080p video recording, 1.2MP front
•Battery: 22 Wh, 10 hours of functioning
•Other features: G Sensor, light sensor, gyroscope, compass, GPS

Transformer Pad Infinity series

The Infinity Series focuses on entertainment with a 1920-by-1200-pixel, full HD Super IPS + display. It has support for 4G LTE with the Qualcomm MSM 8960 Snapdragon S4 Krait dual-core 1.5Ghz processor. The Wi-Fi version will also feature the Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor. It has a 2-megapixel front camera for video chats and an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera.

The Infinity Series will come in three versions: 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.
