Lenovo may not be well known in the Tablet market compared to other competitors but the company still seems confident in keeping up with the others. Lenovo has officially announced its latest addition to the tablet market, the IdeaPad S2109. The new Ice Cream Sandwich slate has 9.7- inch 4:3 aspect display and relies on the IPS panel for screen technology, plus it also supports a 1024 x 768 pixel resolution.
Technical specifications include a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera(yet no back camera), microSD slot, micro-HDMI, micro-USB and 10 hours of battery life.And it comes with a TI OMAP CPU, 1 GB of internal memory and a TI WiLink WL1281 chip for the wireless connections. This component handles the WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS, plus the FM radio function. The OS of choice on the Lenovo Ideatab S2109 is Android 4.0 ICS and the device is also advertised as supporting Google Play and its 450k apps, plus an exclusive Lenovo app shop.
Unfortunately other details such as price and release date remain under wraps.
