According to DigiTimes, Intel has entered into the educational tablet market with a higher-priced model of its own.Intel has just unveiled a reference design for the Intel Studybook: a rugged 7-inch tablet that will run Windows 7 or Android 3.0, and come with specialized educational software.The reference design calls for a 7-inch screen with a 1024x600 resolution, an Atom Z650 processor, a minimum of 1GB DDR2 RAM and the storage is available in 4, 8, 16 and 32 GB variants, 2MP camera on the back and a 0.3MP shooter upfront, and a versatile port loadout including microSD / SIM slots, USB 2.0 and HDMI.The site quotes industry sources as saying that the price for the tablet will run in the $200-$300 range depending on specs and customs tariffs.
