After the success of 7-inch kindle Fire,Amazon planned to launch new model of Kindle Fire.The next Kindle Fire will have an 8.9-inch screen, to be followed by a 10.1-inch model.
According to the Taiwanese website a DIGITIMES report, upstream supplier sources have mentioned that users can expect the new 8.9-inch version of the Amazon Kindle Fire to launch by the middle of the second quarter in 2012 (2Q12).
Aside from the 8.9-inch Kindle Fire, Amazon is also rumored to be developing a 10.1-inch Kindle Fire.
Foxconn will begin ODM (original design manufacturer) production of the 8.9-inch Kindle Fire in the middle of Q2 2012. The same company will also manufacture the 7 inch Kindle Fire, together with Quanta, but that will happen in Q1 2012, according to the same DigiTimes.
Foxconn has declined to comment on both reports given that no official announcements have been made.
